Blood Type Diet

Did you know …Our genetics are inherited, and everyone is unique. We start out by breaking our diet into one of the 4 groups, because what works for one person does not necessarily work for another person.

Explaining why the blood type:  It is an overt genetic description of our basic genetic differences. Why starting here will create a place to start in finding what will make you feel better, and maintain your blood chemistries in their best balance. This will make your immune system stronger, and your overall system less inflammatory, reducing the chance that disease can take hold.  We  strive to help you normalize your system and  help you maintain bone as you age, reduce inflammation  and have colon health naturally.

Blood Type O

As a Blood Type O you may be predisposed to certain illnesses, such as ulcers and thyroid disorders. In the 1950’s it was discovered that Type O’s had about twice the instances of ulcers of all kinds than the other blood types. These findings have been replicated many times since then. Type O’s tend to have low levels of thyroid hormone and often exhibit insufficient levels of iodine, a chemical element whose sole purpose is thyroid hormone regulation. This causes many side effects such as weight gain, fluid retention and fatigue. Dr. D’Adamo does not recommend iodine supplements, rather a diet rich in saltwater fish and kelp to help regulate the thyroid gland. Bladder Wrack is also an excellent nutrient for type O’s. This herb, actually a seaweed, is very effective as an aid to weight control for Type O’s. Blood type O’s may benefit from more protein, of course balanced with those powerful natural green leafy things that supply calcium, magnesium, vitamin K and all the things we need to maintain a well-balanced system, they also may have the endorphin release we hear of when they do a lot of aerobic exerciese.

Blood Type A

Type A’s have no need to exercise to the 80% of max for 30 minutes that one of the other blood types have benefit from. They do best with yoga and tai chi. Type A best exemplifies the powerful interconnections between mind and body. This was vital to the shift away from hunting and procurement to building and growing. However, Type A’s more internalized relationship to stress, which served your ancestors well, can be a challenge for the modern Type A. The Blood Type Diet’s proactive mix of lifestyle strategies, hormonal equalizers, gentle exercise and specialized dietary guidelines will maximize your overall health; decrease your natural risk factors for cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The result: high performance, mental clarity, greater vitality and increased longevity.

Blood Type B

Blood type B will wonder why it is very important that chicken excluded for this blood type. They are not as clean as turkeys, and excrete more nitrates, making them a less efficient bird. Turkeys are most efficient, and are a great source of protein for blood type B.  Yet, just like the other blood types, you must have balance. You also do well on Lamb as well as other sources of protein, just don’t forget the green leafy things as well. The primary challenges that can get in the way of optimum health for Type B include a tendency to produce higher than normal cortisol levels in situations to stress; sensitivity to the B specific lectins in select foods, resulting in inflammation and greater risk for developing Syndrome X; susceptibility to slow growing, lingering viruses – such as those for MS, CFS, and lupus; and a vulnerability to autoimmune diseases.

Blood Type AB

Blood Type AB is a combination of blood type A and blood type B. They can eat beef like the B’s yet it turns to fat, because they have low stomach acid like blood type A. Your Type B propensities cause the same insulin reaction as Type B when you eat lima beans, corn, buckwheat, or sesame seeds.” Inhibited insulin production results in hypoglycemia, a lowering of blood sugar after meals and leads to less efficient metabolism of foods. “Avoid all smoked or cured meats. These foods can cause stomach cancer in people with low levels of stomach acid.”  An exercise program for you would be aerobic, like running or biking for 3 days, and calming like yoga or  tai chi for 2-3  days

Stearate-Free Products

We also have developed a method to produce stearate-free formulas. There has been much controversy over use of stearates (a form of hydrogenated oil) in the production of nutritional supplements. Stearates, often labeled as magnesium stearate, steric acid, or calcium stearate, are hydrogenated fats –typically cottonseed or palm oil– that are frequently used in factories as lubricants to help the encapsulating machinery run faster and prevent the ingredients from clumping within the capsule.

We will always strive to provide the very highest quality supplements made with the safest, most effective ingredients.

The path to aging health may be started early if you are not feeling like you’re old self. It can be started late if you feel fine till you are 70. If you do not feel fine, and you are gaining a lot of weight, you may be inflammed. Knowing which foods will reduce inflammation, and simultaneously remove excess fat will help your body heal, or stay healthy from the inside out. Two great inflammatory reducing foods which work are pineapple (fresh with the core) and cherries.
