Holiday Healthy Bean Delights
1 Cup of raw almonds, chopped to small pieces in a food processor
2 cans of pinto beans drained or about 3 cups of equivalent soaked dried pinto Beans
1/4 Cup of Dark Cocoa
3 Tablespoons agave syrup, honey or other sweetener
Mix must be “wet” enough to form balls. Chop the almonds first, and add the drained beans, and 2 tablespoons of sweetener. Add 1/4 Cup Dark Cocoa. Add a third tablespoon of sweetener here. Mix in food processor, till it comes together as a dough.
Roll into balls, and refrigerate.
Melt an 8 oz bag of Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate chips with Two Tablespoons of oil.
Coat the refrigerated balls, all around, and set on wax paper in a pan to re-refrigerate.
Beans help us feel full, and are another great source of protein and vitamins. They are a great addition to a meal at least once a day. The best beans for each blood type will alleviate gas and bowel irritability.
