Beets With Mirin

Equipment
- 1 2 quart pot I prefer stainless steel
- 1 paring knife
- 1 peeler or not
Ingredients
- 1 bunch fairly large beets with leaves if possible
- 1/2 Cup Mirin This has no sugar
Instructions
- Wash and cut beets in half then quarters then cut the quarters in half.
- One friend washed them well, cut of the tops, and boiled them with the skin on
- The skin will just peel off if you prefer to do it this way
